The Government of India has launched an ambitious new program, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, with the goal of providing 1 crore (10 million) households with rooftop solar systems. This initiative aims to not only provide free electricity up to 300 units per month but also to promote clean energy and allow families to earn income by selling surplus power.
